About Lloyd Colbourne Lloyd Colbourne was born at Twillingate, and educated there and Toronto. He returned to Newfoundland and built several successful businesses - Colbourne Electronics Ltd, Colbourne Productions Ltd and Lucky Side Tuna Charters. From his film studios he produced commercials and training films as well as documentaries for offshore oil and other local companies. Later, he produced the first TV series of shows ever produced by an independent producer in his Province. His prime time series "Newfoundland Outdoors" ran for some sixteen years from 1979 to 1995. The top-rated shows were enjoyed across Canada through the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's regional exchange of programming, Lloyd wrote, directed, filmed and produced the series. He also recorded and edited all the sound as well as hosting the shows. They are now available on DVD.
